Half Term At Bristol Ice Rink

Bristol Ice Rink situated in the heart of the city centre is increasing skating sessions during February half term as a result of the Dancing On Ice programme on television.

General Manager Eddie Pearson said “Dancing on Ice took the Ice Rink industry by surprise last year. I believe that many rinks struggled to cope with the demand and as a result many people did not experience the real excitement of ice skating. We have looked at last years figures and I felt we needed to take drastic action so that people can enjoy the rink and its fantastic atmosphere to the full. As a result we have increased our public sessions during the February half term from 24 to 34 an increase of a massive 42%. After completing some research with our users it was also realised that people wanted earlier disco sessions throughout the half term week so that younger children can have some fun – We have also added that to our timetable. Unlike some rinks we do not charge by the hour but by the session. Our sessions are up to 5 hours long so there is no need to rush and who wants to go back outside in the rain anyway”.

Eddie thanks the figure skating coaches and skaters and also the ice hockey club who have been kind enough to accommodate the increase in public sessions.

Bristol ice rink is open all year round with various sessions on every day of the week starting from 10am till 10.30pm, with family tickets and group rates available. The rink holds birthday parties for the young ones with a free lesson and food from the rinkside café, which is open all weekend and various sessions through out the week.
There is a great ice hockey junior section that normally train on Tuesday evenings and for over 18’s there is ice karting which is a new sport that attracts only adrenalin fired individuals who wish to push themselves to the absolute limit!!!

The half term timetable is running from Friday the 16th February until Monday 26th February inclusive.
